We're trying, however, to avoid becoming the bulletin board for every social event in town. Janelle Koester does a great job on that side of things, with her Gorge Current site and newsletter. Please do engage with her to get word out about your party.>
Simply offering a new product, or cutting the price on a product or service, or planning an event designed to make you a few bucks is great, but may not rise to the level of "news." We're more interested in the people and business models behind those activities.
Those sorts of sales-driven nuggets are more the stuff of advertising. We do sell ads (not aggressively). If you want to learn more about that, let us know and we'll send you the rate sheet. That said, we do what we can, time allowing, to share info about new product, special events and such under the Shelf Talk tab.
Bottom line? Send us info. We'll sort it out. If we think you may want to buy an ad, we'll tell you. Hope that helps explain the triage behind our scenes.
