Bob Fox, president of the board of the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce, has announced the hiring of Michael S. Glover as the Chamber’s new executive director after a three-month hiring process. Glover has served as director of sales and marketing for Shore Lodge in McCall, Idaho, and before that, as executive director of the Bend Visitor & Convention Bureau (now Visit Bend). He assumes the role held for the last two years by Kerry Cobb, who was originally hired to manage marketing, but took on the executive director role a few months after her arrival, and did both jobs until she asked the board last year to let her focus on marketing. …

Susan Orzeck reminds us newcomers that she and husband Randy have been at the helm the whole time, shifting the brand in 1994 from Horsefeathers Fine Dining to Big Horse Brew Pub.
