If you love locally owned business, and love to party (at least a little bit), mark your calendars for 6 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 10. It’s the 4th Annual GOvember Party, a benefit for Gorge Owned’s annual programming.
Sashay on down to Kickstand Coffee & Kitchen, corner of State and 13th, for the fun. It’s open to all, not just GO! members.
Gorge Owned produces the Sense of Place lecture series, GO! Solar, Green Drinks, GO! Local, and more.
According to a GO! news release, “GOvember will include live music by the Ben Bonham Trio, an extensive online and silent auction of Gorge-centric prize packages, and a raffle featuring the coveted custom-built Kona Rove DL multi-purpose bike.”
Kids are welcome at GOvember (admission free), and can join the fun with face painting by Shining Faces.
A $10 suggested donation for admission includes a limited edition commemorative pint glass featuring local artwork from Basko-Anna Laxague (while supplies last). First fill is on the house (a variety of beer and kombucha will be available at the door). Food and drinks from KickStand will be available for purchase, with 10 percent of the proceeds going to support GO! programming.
Tickets are on sale now, as well as raffle tickets. The online and silent auction will open for bids the evening of Nov. 8. Winners will be announced shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday. You don’t have to be present to win.
Sponsors of the 4th annual GOvember Party and Fundraiser include Trillium Engineering, KickStand Coffee & Kitchen, Dirty Fingers Bicycle Repair, Solstice Wood Fire Cafe, and countless other donors to the auction and raffle. All money raised at the event will directly support GO!’s annual programming.
