National Scenic Area Planner: Seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced National Scenic Area Planner for this unique opportunity.  This position will co-lead the 10-year review and revision of the NSA Management Plan, conduct development reviews, and support other Gorge Commission staff in building and maintaining relationships with all levels of government, business, communities, and diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication and people skills required.  Strong working knowledge and experience using GIS applications to analyze and communicate land use trends and issues. Experience developing outreach materials such as graphic publications, web-based surveys, and online mapping tools. Business Advisor/Instructor: Provides leadership, client counseling, instruction and recruitment for the Small Business Development Center Program.  Works closely with prospective and existing business owners to provide counseling, market research and technical assistance in the Mid-Columbia region. Bachelor’s degree, prior ownership of a business and/or experience with direct profit & loss accountability is a requirement for this position. Experience with coaching, teaching, accounting software, loan underwriting and financial forecasting software is preferred.  Part-time position of 20 hours per week, $22 per hour, with very flexible scheduling.
